Bomber Head

The Bomber Head is a monster encountered in both Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle. It makes its debut appearance in the Sun and Moon Temple and Mount Gundor, respectively. It is the only Windup monster alongside the Pirate Tank to not be designed for the Ridepod, but is still a dangerous foe, however.

The Bomber Head is a monster appearing early on in the Sun and Moon Temple but stays for much of the dungeon's floors. It has only one attack where it does a 360 punch that cannot be blocked. However, its main distinguishing feature is that when defeated, it will explode, likely to catch Toan or Goro in the blast. It is recommended to use ranged characters or Ungaga to deal with Bomber Heads.

Dark Chronicle[]

The Bomber Head is a simple monster to the normal eye. It has one normal attack, to make a 360 swing with its bomb arms. This attack cannot pierce the player's block, but is fast. The Bomber Head moves generally in a slow manner, and is easily fazed.

But beware: it isn't this weak for no reason. When its health is depleted to a certain point, its head will enlarge, and it will take flight, speeding towards you, and make a suicide attack, exploding in front of the player. This attack has the capability to instantly incapacitate the player, so be extremely cautious when fighting this monster and be ready to flee should it perform its kamikaze attack.

Trivia[]

  • Bomber Head, Danger Bomb, and Sweet Dynamite all have the player-usable Bomb, Improved Bomb, and Final Bomb for heads as well as a chance to drop them.
  • This monster can give you the scoop "Bomber Head Boom". To obtain it, snap a photo of the Bomber Head as he performs his kamikaze explosion. The best way to get this scoop is to wait until later in the game, as it is a permanent scoop, to gain more defense and survive the explosion it makes. Then, weaken the Bomber Head, preferably using a strong, but not overpowering weapon, to bring it down to about 10-30% of its health, and have the camera ready. When the head enlarges, take several shots to make sure you get the scoop.
