A Scoop is a special variant of the Idea, obtained from a photograph, which can be used for Inventing. It is an important element of the photography mechanic in Dark Chronicle. They are differentiated from standard Ideas by having a symbol of a light bulb with a red star, and are listed last on the Idea board. Scoops are worth 5 Photography Points each.
A significant number of Scoops can be missed, as many are only available during boss fights, while others are in locations that become inaccessible after completing Chapter 7. This includes any location in the Future, Kazarov Stonehenge, and Moon Flower Palace.
The Inside Scoop Memo is a unique book item that keeps track of every scoop. Scoops are added to the book at the start of each chapter after talking to Donny, and are checked off the list the first time the player photographs them.
